So, it's been how many weeks since I started this? I have lost only 5 pounds. No, I haven't been able to formally exercise every day, but I have been exercising more regularly than before.
This is about the time I just feel like a failure and that I will NEVER get to a healthy weight. I'm so frustrated, discouraged and just plain annoyed.
I feel like a huge blob and that no matter what I do I will always be a huge blob.
This is the hump for me and if I don't get over it, I will give up again. I just don't know how to get over this.
Today I'm going to take a long bike ride. It's been a while since I road a bike and that is mostly due to the fact that I feel like a huge blob on a little skinny bike.
I kinda get mad at my body for not responding more acutely to the changes I have made and thus I don't take care of it. Like this morning I haven't eaten anything yet and I don't really feel like it either.
Since I have made the decision to bike ride, huge clouds have move in. Even mother nature is hating on me today....really??!?!?
Well, I hope everyone is having a better start to their day. I'll let you know what happens with me tomorrow.

HAULT! Negative thoughts are like birds. They may fly through your mind, but don't let them make a nest there (Martin Luther said this I believe). I felt the same way and it is true that weight does not fly off as fast when as we age. However, don't believe the lie that it is impossible or too difficult for you. Your first goal is good health and, hopefully, this includes stress management. Weight loss should be secondary to this. I also wanted to let you know about Sparkpeople.Com. It is a free tool to help you stay accountable to YOURSELF. You can figure out how many calories your body needs each day in order to lose a certain amount of weight in a certain amount of time. My weight loss had been at a stand still until I started tracking calories my calories.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!!! I joined that site. :)
DeleteDON'T GIVE UP!!!!!!!

DeleteOne more comment because I love you so much. Has it even been four weeks? Five pounds in four weeks is right where you should be. (.5 to 2 lbs per week).
ReplyDeleteOk, I just checked. Yeah, it's been 4 weeks. At least I lost and didn't gain.
DeleteI love you too!
I echo EVERYTHING that Moriah said! You know that half the battle is recognition, so if you recognize that it's around this time that you give up, then DON'T do what you've always done! Push through! You have the willpower, strength and determination to succeed in ANYTHING, including this! I got you back, babe...and so do your friends. One last thing, "Go to the mattresses." : - )
ReplyDeleteLOLOL! I love you, Honey! "Fight! Fight to the death!!" LOL
